Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented Designer I for the San Antonio Home Office, Austin, Plano or 100% Remote Work from home environment. Executes creating concepts, design, production and/or coding of marketing tactics and/or graphic user interface needs. Works closely with key partners/suppliers to ensure quality output and production. Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the development and improvement initiatives for design processes, procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Serves as a resource to less experienced team members.
  • Ensures compliance with design, brand, legal and/or accessibility standards/requirements, as required.
  • Contributes to the alignment of member experiences across projects, programs, products and channels.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure all executions fulfill requirements.
  • Executes design concepts and/or prototypes for use in usability testing.
  • Clearly articulates the various facets of the issue and leads the team to resolution.
  • Executes concepts, designs, and/or coding of integrated visual/technical solutions.
  • May resolve design and technical issues through an understanding of the business and design principles.
  • Applies mature knowledge of design principles; and develops knowledge of business objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Facilitation, collaboration and consensus-building skills, with experience presenting to cross-functional teams.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates working experience designing digital experiences for mobile and web-based applications.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting digital products inside an Agile environment using human-centered design principles, methods and problem-solving strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work fluently in standard applications, including Sketch, InVision (or comparable prototyping tools), Adobe CC and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, engaging and able to work effectively within a team environment, always delivering results on time.
  • 4 years of relevant, on-the-job experience in a Product Design, UX Design, Service Design or Design Research role delivering complex design systems for web and native applications.
  • Demonstrated working understanding of new technologies and best practices in website navigation, browsers, mobile patterns, information architecture and usability.
  • Demonstrated experience designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications (iOS, Android, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
