Tesco Hiring – Buying Manager

Job Description:

Tesco Ireland are currently seeking to appoint a Buying Manager (Maternity Leave Cover) within our Commercial Team. The role is responsible for creating profitable customer driven ranges and promotions to deliver sales and margin targets. The role’s buying plan supports a group of products to support the delivery of the customer plan and promises of ‘I can get what I want’ and ‘the prices are good’.

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning and trading seasonal buys
• Building and owning sales and margin budgets for your category
• Sourcing new products and be innovative within your area
• Working with Technical to develop own label products for range
• Constructing and managing ROI ranges
• Adhering to all Tesco policies and guidance, including storage protocols and successfully completing all Commercial Income and Grocery Regulations training so that you have zero
• Grocery Regulations breaches
• Developing strong working relationships with UK Buying Teams
• Developing a business plan that supports the trade plan of your buying area
• Focusing on developing a leading product range
• Managing and developing my local supply base
