Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading our strategic business development efforts with broker dealer partners of the US ETF SPDR Capital Markets Group. More specifically, this individual will manage our day to day engagement with Tier 1 bank broker dealers, primarily raising seed capital, securing market making support, and identifying distribution opportunities to further amplify our voice around SPDR ETFs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in projects and working groups, both internal and external, related to the development of fixed income ETFs and the evolution of bond market structure
- Assist in expansion of coverage to Tier 2 Broker Dealer accounts – assessing needs of SPDR business, identifying partnership opportunities, establishing strategic account plans
- Ensure support from Tier 1 broker dealers for SPDR priorities as it relates to market making, distribution, and product innovation
- Ownership of B2B account plans for Tier 1 broker dealers partners – engaging with issuer relationship managers, ETF / portfolio, delta one, securities financing, and fixed income sales and trading desks
- Develop ETF Capital Markets thought leadership via white papers, marketing materials, or sales literature
- Facilitate an understanding of the Americas’ SPDR business and its strategy and priorities across key internal partners
- Collaborate with teams across SSGA and other State Street business divisions to maximize Broker Dealer relationships
- Deliver risk excellence and support the business as a whole through internal and external relationship development
Job Requirements:
- Very proficient with Bloomberg, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Bachelors Degree
- Strong fixed income background, preferably from large financial institution; you have strong understating of the dynamics that drive capital markets
- 10+ years of sales, trading, or business development experience
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Experience managing relationships and engaging with senior level executives
- Strong aptitude for multi-tasking
- Ability to build relationships within our team, across our organization, and with our clients
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate industry and product knowledge
