Job Description:

Responsible for staffing the stores within a defined geographic area; works closely with the General Managers, District Managers and Human Resources Advisor within area of responsibility to ensure proper execution of the Recruiting program

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops recruiting plans/programs that will provide appropriate staffing for all stores within area of responsibility
  • Represents Company as important point of contact with outside employment agencies, job fairs, employment conferences, colleges and social media contacts
  • Oversees applicant screening process and additional interviews once the initial interview has been completed
  • Completes required reporting of recruiting/staffing performance used to analyze/determine placement rates, turnover, compliance and areas for improvement
  • Under general supervision, utilizes Company guidelines (pay rate and job grade charts) to determine rate of pay for open positions
  • Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
  • Recruits for store employees, including store management positions, and other Company units as needed, including conferring with stakeholders to determine such needs
  • Uses significant discretion to explore and develop alternate sources of applicants by utilizing employee procurement expertise
  • Oversees hiring of store employees and extends offers to prospective new employees where circumstances permit, including handling negotiations with candidates regarding terms of placement if applicable
  • Under general supervision, ensures proper execution of developed program, Company and government guidelines are followed during the hiring process
  • Exercises independent judgment to evaluate résumés and applications, review qualifications and select candidates to contact for an interview
  • May ensure new employee orientation is completed
  • Designs and prepares reports to determine candidate placement progress
  • Acts as key decision-maker in comparing, evaluating, and determining appropriate candidates for open positions, including, as appropriate, based upon a complete review of screening results and references

Job Requirements:

  • Available to work a variety of shifts and/or days of the week and be willing to travel within their designated area of responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
  • Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to make day-to-day decisions, including personnel decisions, with little to no immediate supervision
  • Ability to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching
  • Must maintain automotive insurance during the course of employment
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License from the state in which the Recruiter lives

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related degree preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
