Job Description:

As the Windows System Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and administration of our Windows systems. You’ll ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot production issues and analyze failures to minimize outages and interruptions
• Utilize enterprise tools to manage, monitor, and secure large enterprise data center environments
• Troubleshoot server and network related problems and quickly resolve issues
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours escalations
• Research and implement new technologies
• Perform systems design and implementation and maintain infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud, including Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory,
• Exchange, and Office 365 global administration
• Provide tier 3 support for help desk/desktop personnel
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards (scalability)
• Seek out automation opportunities in order to build consistency and quality with speed

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience performing server systems design, implementation, and administration
• Proficiency with enterprise-level administration of network services such as DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, and troubleshooting
• Proven experience with server-class hardware from a major OEM (Dell, IBM, HP, etc.) and Windows server operating systems (2012 R2, 2016, 2019)
• Ability to script and develop using PowerShell
• Knowledge of SAN, clustering, backup, and other enterprise technology to maintain availability and recoverability of systems

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience with cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical subjects or at least 3 years of related work experience
