Job Description:
As the Communications Advisor for Southwestern Ontario (SWO) Regional Banking, you will play a key role in building and implementing creative and engaging communications plans for internal and external audiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support with the development and amplification of content for social media channels; proactively assess social media environment and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Provide general Regional Office team support including design, videography, measurement and reporting for communications initiatives.
- Contribute positively to RBC’s brand and reputation through the execution of media relations activities.
- Support the development, execution and evaluation of town halls and other key employee engagement events.
- Coordinate with other Regional and National Office communications teams as required.
- Draft creative and compelling internal content telling the stories that inspire and engage employees and support business priorities.
- Provide day-to-day support in the development and execution of regional communications targeted to employees, client and communities.
Job Requirements:
- Creative and innovative storytelling expertise with an ability to distill complex information into compelling content.
- Undergraduate degree/diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related discipline.
- Minimum three to four years’ experience in communications or public relations, preferably with exposure to both internal and external communications.
- Experience in, or knowledge of financial services industry considered an asset but not mandatory.
- General media relations experience and knowledge of media.
- Experience executing large-scale employee engagement events, such as town halls.
- Strong writing, presentation and collaboration skills.
- Hands-on experience in managing intranet and social media channels, including creation of engaging posts and supporting track record.
