As a Terminal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and embedding a new operating model within the Freight Operations business in Adelaide. This is an opportunity to drive cultural change and business improvement including the introduction of lean models to drive accountability and productivity improvements. You will be accountable for increasing leadership capability and accountability, drive operational & safety improvements, and focus on service consistency for the customer.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively, influence others and gain cooperation
• An innovative, collaborative, and responsive style
• Detailed understanding of all aspects of operational, safety, security and emergency procedures as outlined in SOP’s, etc.
• Experience in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
• Sound judgement with an ability to balance the needs of the customer with the needs of the business.
• Positive and analytical approach to problem solving and the capacity to produce results within specified timeframes particularly incidents of non-compliance.
• Understand and can apply matrix management techniques with a demonstrated high level of consultation, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to build enduring customer relationship and be the customer advocate
• Proven experience in leading, motivating and managing large teams
• Ability to influence positive outcomes in industrial environment
• Working knowledge & relevant experience of HR/IR processes and requirements.
• Previous Airline/ Freight experience is desirable
• Demonstrated experience with change management with the ability to mobilise individuals to change and build group momentum for change
• Superior resilience to address resistance and drive high levels of change
