Job Description:

Reporting to Portfolio Operations Team Leader or Portfolio Operations Manager, the Portfolio Operations Specialist is responsible for the collection of financial information or other required information for renewal and covenant monitoring for both wholesale and retail business banking loan portfolios; will include direct customer contact.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage wholesale renewal process including updating database, escalations, coordinate with other teams within the BCC/BBG, etc.
  • Advise line officers of renewal and covenant monitoring processes and requirements and coordinate communication to borrower in an effort to actively gather financial information for review.
  • Maintain team mailboxes for financials and requests that come in directly from the line for updates and research, etc.
  • Post Booking Review Credit Approval and loan agreement for consistency and set up reporting system for wholesale facilities.
  • Quickly research and resolve issues as they arise, and escalate appropriately to management.
  • Facilitate closures with Commercial Loan Operations (CLO) Validation of taxes and insurance that they are current and in place.
  • Answer inquiries from external business partners, providing necessary information and service in a clear and timely manner.
  • Prepare maturity letters for maturing facilities Facilitating AFS Maintenance requests.
  • Wholesale Financial requirement letters ongoing items required per Tracking System (Loan Agreement and Credit Application).
  • Escalate concerns to supervisor, research delinquencies, etc.
