Job Description:

They will partner across application, enterprise architecture, infrastructure and security teams in the planning and delivery of all data center networking configurations and advancements to support increased infrastructure hyper-convergence, virtualization, and automation. They are expected to be an expert from a functional perspective with a significant amount of hands-on experience and a non-biased view of technology choices and will be involved at the inception of a project, responsible for design creation and lifecycle management of data center and network solutions. Additionally, they will support Managed Service Provider, Vendor/Manufacturer and Professional Services engagements and escalations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier III proactive monitoring/ execution, maintenance, and changes of internal and customer facing network (routing, switching, and optical) infrastructure.
• This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting data center and network infrastructure, services, IP network connectivity, IP routing (layer 3), LAN switching (layer 2), Wireless LAN infrastructure, WAN Optimization
• Performance issues to resolution and completely and accurately documenting all work activity in the organizations problem tracking system.
• Translate business strategies into data center, network, and converged infrastructure strategies.
• Design and execute for both internally and externally hosted solutions.
• Establish governing principles for all related co-location, data center and converged infrastructure solutions and manage complex infrastructure and application environments, providing architecture and engineering leadership.
• Specify, select, implement and operating Lincoln Enterprise data center, network and converged infrastructure technologies including the management and instrumentation platforms.
• Identify and drive co-location and data center network infrastructure enhancements that will improve the business processes and overall technical capabilities, stability, and performance.

• Internet connectivity design, technologies, and solutions
• Equinix Cloud Exchange/Cloud Fabric, Equinix Network Edge, Amazon Direct Connect, Microsoft ExpressRoute
• VMWare virtualization including; VXLAN, NSX and NSX-T
• Cisco IP Network and Network Security Solutions and infrastructure, BGP routing design and implementation
• Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco ACI, MPLS WAN / IP Addressing /SDN /SD-WAN designs and implementations
• Dell/EMC compute and storage platforms including physical and logical network requirements and features
