Job Description: This team member will join a group of IT professionals focusing on technology such as servers, operating systems, databases, web application servers and local area, wide area and wireless networks. JOANN utilizes industry-leading technology from enterprise vendors including Microsoft, IBM, HP, Dell, Google and Cisco along with proven open source solutions. As a senior team member within the IT organization, this role will lead the efforts of maintaining and enhancing the stability and reliability of JOANN's IT systems. A focus on project deliverables along with a mix of advanced support responsibilities will provide this team member with the opportunity to grow as a leader amongst peers. This position will influence the direction of JOANN's system implementations. Senior Technical Engineer will provide Level 2 support across all technical environments. Responsibilities extend to the Store Support Center (SSC), 3 distribution centers and multi-channel retail practices through over 800 stores. The total user environment consists of over 20,000 team members. Participation 24 x 7 on-call support rotation is required. Job Responsibilities: Works to improve systems and processes to enforce simplicity, stability and efficiency Systems and Applications Implementation- Implements hardware and software as required in support of projects and the existing production landscape. Executes unit tests in order to assure high quality of deliverables. Systems and Applications Support- Provides support for current production systems. Resolves problems and incidents in compliance with established resolutions SLAs. Determines and documents root cause of problems. Systems and Applications Design- Designs solutions which satisfy complex requirements. Ensures technical solution designs are consistent with departmental standards.
