Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and milestone development/management
  • Vendor interface and management of technical requirements
  • Creating and publishing overhaul and repair instructions for engine and powerplant components
  • Executing changes to designs and approved source lists for engine and powerplant components
  • Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Presenting project plans and status to customers, operators and internal stakeholders
  • Project performance and technical execution
  • Cost and budget management, including estimate development and project planning
  • Technical requirements development
  • Risk/Opportunity development and management

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to recognize cost and schedule risks before they can cause significant program impact, and the ability to develop and execute sound risk mitigation plans.
  • Experience working with collaboratively with suppliers to turn designs into hardware and solve problems in production.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to react quickly to changing scope.
  • Knowledge of the 14 CFR Part 25 or Part 33 (or equivalent) certification requirements.
  • Direct experience with the design, development and certification of turbomachinery
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Direct experience with root cause-corrective action investigations, cost reduction programs or new product development
  • Ability to prioritize time and resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan technical programs, including budget and schedule estimation, resource planning and risk and requirements management.
  • The ability to provide technical contributions essential to the successful completion of projects.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 7+ plus years’ experience in the aerospace industry developing complex mechanical systems
