Job Description:

Georgia-Pacific LLC is looking for a Quality Assurance Test Lead to join our team at our Atlanta, GA headquarters. The QA Test Lead will define the test strategy for all projects executed in Packaging, Cellulose and Building Products Information Technology. The QA Test lead will work on the Project Excellence team alongside Project Managers and Business Analysts to deliver project for the Packaging & Cellulose businesses.

A test strategy includes, Test Planning, Execution, Review & Approval as well as specific test Automation efforts. The QA Test Lead will direct the testing work for internal and 3rd party testing teams both on and offshore. Additionally, they will be expected to execute work plans in a timely manner by accepting personal accountability for project deliverables and to establish and maintain positive business relationships with our stakeholders. The QA Test Lead will be expected to demonstrate a rational and organized approach to completing milestones, documenting progress, and providing updates to project managers and key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recommending and selecting the best testing software tool to fit the needs of the test approach
  • Collaborating on business requirements with IT professionals and advising in their level of detail to tie back to a test case and test plan
  • Participate and influence the Hardware/Software environments needed to deliver the test approach
  • Report out on status for all the above based upon the requirement of the specific project or program
  • Define the standard tools and processes to for test automation (Regression Testing)
  • Manage internal and external resources that are contributing to the execution of the test plan
  • Identify where test automation will benefit short- and long-term testing objectives
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage applications across the organization to minimize duplicate systems within the organization
  • Oversee the execution of the specific test plan
  • Oversee the defect management process including assignments of defects for resolution
  • Report out on the status and quality of the specific test plan
  • Management and tracking of test case coverage to business requirements using the Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Defining the required resources to build and execute the plans

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with Visual Studio Team Services and HP QC and ALM (Quality Center and Application Life Cycle Management)
  • Experience managing 3rd party testing resources both on and offshore
  • Experience mentoring QA team members on automation best practices
  • Experience writing test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and doing risk analysis prior to product releases
  • At least 6 plus years of software QA experience developing and implementing testing strategies
