Job Description:

The First Republic PWM Operations organization is seeking a highly motivated, senior professional to lead our newly formed Investment Product Operations team. The Investment product operations team consists of operations professionals supporting Alternative Investments, Managed Accounts, Structured Products, Mutual Funds, FX, Insurance, and Trust.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement a continuous process improvement initiative to ensure optimal efficacy levels at all time
• Ensure staffing levels continuously meet volume growth requirements and keep team attrition to a minimum
• Ensure the department meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements and has minimal findings with respect to all internal or external audits/exams
• Manage all aspects of BAU production including the leadership of ~50 people and >200 operational functions within the broader department
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization, including large-group, in-person meetings
• Leverage existing risk controls and implement new monitoring and control improvements to ensure errors and risk events are kept to six-sigma rates
• Ensure all Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded without exception and deliver extraordinary service experiences for internal and external clients
• Make valuable contributions to executive management dialog regarding the strategic direction of associated businesses
• Manage and/or make significant contributions to multiple ongoing business and technology projects affecting the department

• Expertise in working with internal and external legal counsel

• ‘Jedi-level’ risk management skills
• A professional sense of humor with a desire to have fun while you work
• Demonstrable expertise in managing large projects
• Furthering the First Republic Bank culture and values
• Series 7 a plus
• Deep expertise with investment products with an emphasis on alternative investments and managed accounts
• The ability to create consultant-grade presentation materials
• Senior level written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to confidently and successfully face off directly to clients and regulators
• Independent, critical reasoning skills with the ability to anticipate challenges
• The desire and ability to continuously provide extraordinary service

Qualification & Experience:

• A high degree of team respect and the ability to be highly collegial and courteous
• Experience managing teams with greater than 50 employees15+ years of operations experience
• Significant contract negotiation experience
