Job Description:
The imaging incubation team on our Advanced Technology Group is looking for a Senior R&D engineer to join our highly collaborative and dynamic research team.
You will use your expertise in computer vision/computer graphics, to 3D scene representation and novel-view synthesis problems in AR/VR environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interface with IP legal team, to drive patent generation process
- Use good development methodology, including quality metrics and test content, to validate algorithmic solutions
- Make presentations to colleagues and senior management
- Create and execute on an algorithm roadmap
- Architect end-end algorithmic solutions for scene representation, transmission and novel-view presentation
- Work as a domain expert in novel view synthesis/scene representation
- Stay abreast of state-of-art work in the graphics/computer vision field
Job Requirements:
- Strong team player, able to work with colleagues in research and software development fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Must have hands-on experience with the create, test, measure, refine cycle of algorithm development
Qualification & Experience:
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer vision/graphics/computational imaging R&D
- Experience with deep learning-based solutions to computer vision problems, a strong plus
- Experience in 3D graphics API is a strong plus
- Must have experience developing algorithms in Matlab/Python-numpy/C++
- Master’s and 5 years relevant experience or Ph.D. (preferred) in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field
- Experience with depth estimation a plus
