Job Description:

As Equipment Maintenance Technician at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, you will be responsible for supporting the repair and maintenance of all Housekeeping machinery used to keep the property well maintained. Your conscientious contributions and attention to detail will ensure the machinery is functioning properly and meets the safety and service requirements by the employees that operate them.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventories of repair parts and consumable supplies to support preventive maintenance and unexpected malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Create, define, and implement an extensive preventative maintenance program for all managed machinery.
• Having working knowledge of machinery and be able to act as technical liaison.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and document repair and maintenance.
• Enhance teamwork within and outside the Housekeeping department.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Keep machinery at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety in accordance with accepted engineering practices, procedures, policies and applicable codes.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and accepted practices of the trade.
• Ensure that all work performed is in accordance with OSHA, Safety, and Biohazard procedures.
• Maintain total machinery maintenance including, but not limited to: Janitorial cleaning equipment, commercial size ride on scrubbing/sweeping equipment, vacuums, mobilized carts, electric burden tuggers, and pallet jacks.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents including blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
• Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Basic knowledge of high/low voltage control circuits, general electrical applications, familiarity with AC/DC motor controls, programmable/process controllers, and industrial control wiring.
• Skill in developing, leading and maintaining guest relations.
• At least 21 years of age.

Qualification & Experience:

• At least three years of electrical, mechanical, automotive, hydraulics or similar operational repair experience.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
• At least three years related work experience in a Casino, Hospitality and/or Entertainment industry or other high-volume complex.
