Job Description:

The Product Manager for Interest Bearing Deposit Products will be the primary subject matter expert in terms of product management for IB DDA, Hybrid, Money Market Deposit Accounts and Time Deposit products, for Commercial Bank clients. The incumbent will develop and drive the strategy and roadmap for the commercial deposit product set they manage, supporting the overall business strategy of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The functions of this role include: Strategy Development, New Product Development / Product Enhancements, Roll Out / Product and Customer Readiness (Training Plans, Marketing Plans, Implementation Plans, etc.) Sales Support (managing the Technical Sales Specialists), Business Line Support, Risk / Legal, Vendor Management, Marketing, Project Management, Client Issue resolution, Client needs/Demos/RFPs.
  • Responsible for active pricing, profitability, quality, and competitiveness of the product (s) in that portfolio.
  • Responsible to monitor, measure and communicate risks (finance or reputational) associated with the deposits product set they manage.
  • Act as technical sales lead for complex products and participate in sales calls as needed.
  • Drive and support deposit sales via the Liquidity Specialists.
  • Develop and deliver all training and pitch-book materials for all stakeholders.
  • Define, own, and drive all business activities, initiatives, and tactics required to meet volume and COF goals/targets.
  • Take end to end ownership of the commercial bank interest bearing deposit product set.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred
  • Direct knowledge of Liquidity product specific information – Interest Bearing and Non-Interest bearing Deposits.
  • Expertise in the delivery, market value, and industry position of a product area.
  • Builds cross functional partnerships effectively: negotiates with good judgment among multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting needs.
  • Solid understanding of commercial banking product, operations, sales, service and technical practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver profitable growth in a product area.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate strategic concepts and lay out a strategic course of action.
  • Detailed understanding of the client needs that drive usage of the product(s).
    Master’s Degree preferred
