The Citi Investment Management Alternative Investments Sales Specialist (CIM Alts Specialist) will work within the CIM Alts Sales Team Latam to execute regional goals while working in close coordination with the broader Citi Investment Management (CIM) organization to implement initiatives and execute global goals.

The CIM Alts Sales Team is responsible for driving, leading, and executing the sales and distribution strategy for all alternative product solutions and provide after sales across the entire region. CIM Alternatives include Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Funds. Within CIM Alts the Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving the Alternative business and P&L for LAMB South (Latin America Ex-Mexico and Brazil) where the role has a direct reporting line to the Latin America Head of Alternatives Sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the design and implementation of regional product roadshows, managed investments focused events and other initiatives have a maximum impact internally and with clients in the region.
  • Participate in client calls to review existing Alternative offerings and showcase new product solutions.
  • Liaise with the product management teams of the different product lines to make sure that the CIM Alternatives product offering is relevant and effective for clients in the region.
  • Assist clients as well as our Investment Counselors and Banking Teams in navigating our internal Citi Investment Management platform and product offering.
  • Design new and attractive ways to engage with our clients directly and indirectly around our Citi Alternatives product and services offering.
  • Develop internal relationships with the Investment Counselors and Banking Teams in the region in a way that would enable the entire sales organization to obtain knowledge and expertise across the CIM Alternative platform and product offerings.
  • Work with the Investment Counselors and Banking Teams to coordinate our sales and marketing efforts directly with clients and prospects in the region.
  • Coordinate and strengthen the partnership with the different product teams across the entire organization.
  • Drive the strategy, communication, sales, and marketing efforts within the region for all Alternatives product offerings.
  • Developing insights, identify key trends and create detailed action plans for implementation plan in the region
  • Coordinate with the regional General Market Manager (GMM) and Investment Counselor (IC) Team Leader on the strategy for the region.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lead and influence a sales organization across products and functions irrespective of reporting lines.
  • 6 – 10 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Competence in working through complex organizations to solve problems and design products that client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience selling Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Funds.
