Job Description:

As a Barclays Credit Analyst, you will provide high quality credit analysis, financial modelling and credit report writing for in scope transactions. You will also support the Coverage teams in providing effective debt solutions for new and existing clients, within Risk Appetite. It’s a great opportunity to join a growing team within our London office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining a close working relationship with specialist/sales team colleagues, Credit Sanctioners and Operations colleagues
• Working alongside the Origination teams on material transactions for clients; understanding client needs and then contributing to proposed solutions
• Using expertise of deal structuring and judgement of the credit profile in relation to our sector appetite to influence debt structures and guide Origination teams
• Providing high quality balanced credit analysis, financial modelling and credit report writing within Risk Appetite
• Delivering first class service in line with agreed service level agreements/customer set deadlines
• Gathering financial information from the client and extracting the information to generate and understand the key financial ratios
• Working closely with Coverage and Product partners on new credit applications and consulting with credit specialists to shape bespoke customer/risk solutions
• Attending site visits/customer meetings as required, to ensure thorough understanding of company and lending proposition

Job Requirements:

• Problem solving and strategic thinking skills
• Awareness of Legislation affecting the Banking Industry
• Good knowledge of Barclays’ products and services
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Corporate Credit Analysis experience; lending to medium sized/large corporates
