Within the FICC Quantitative Strategies Group is our global e-Trading Strats group, one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As asset classes accelerate their adoption of electronic trading, e-Trading will continue to be recognized as a focus of future investment and a driver of innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities of this role include working with the global Rates electronic business to research, design and build the trading models and electronic systems for pricing, electronic market making and risk management for the Rates trading desks.
- This role operates in close co-operation with our partners in e-Trading sales and technology as well as other lines of business across FICC.
Job Requirements:
- Real-time language proficiency (Java/C++)
- Academic background at undergraduate or, ideally, Masters/PhD level in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or other analytical background)
- Experience in designing and building production trading systems and knowledge of underlying trading infrastructure;
- Strong quantitative skills, coupled with sound knowledge of applied econometric techniques and the ability to work with large datasets
- Financial markets experience
