Job Description:

The Director of Engineering will be responsible for leading multiple teams of engineers, this leader will foster a culture of curiosity, engineering excellence, and innovation. You will form a tight partnership with cross-functional teams to drive our product vision & roadmap and business strategy.

To be successful you will need to be a technical leader with a passion for development and delivery of technology, with the required emphasis on architectural design and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create an engineering culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high quality products with predictability and reliability.
• Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery.
• Recruit, retain, and grow top engineering talent
• Partner with product management to set roadmaps, plan, develop and deliver the technology at an enterprise level of quality and a consumer level of engagement.
• Envision and develop the long-term scalable architectural direction.
• Establish repeatable processes and methods that ensure a high level of productivity, quality, and reliability.
• Work across teams to deliver on Adobe’s business goals and create tight collaboration and coordination between matrixed teams.
• Drive the creation of processes and tools to support multiple platforms and product expansion at scale.
• Mentor leaders across the organization in leadership, management, and engineering standards.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in people leadership & management experience in Software Engineering using hosted/SaaS services.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and team building skills.
• 7+ years’ leadership experience delivering large-scale SaaS platforms and distributed systems within a high growth, global, matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated technical acuity in engineering, architecture, and product development.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing a distributed, cross-functional, globally dispersed engineering organization.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Consistent track record delivering strategic initiatives across multiple upstream and downstream dependencies.
