Job Description:
This position is assigned to the USDA-Forest Service Albuquerque Service Center, Human Resources Management Staff (ASC-HRM), and serves as a Supervisory HR Specialist of an assigned Human Resources program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interprets and reviews a wide range of HR practices, laws, regulations, policies, and precedents sufficient to ensure work performed by staff is in compliance.
- Serves as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist and immediate supervisor for a team of Human Resource Specialists and assistants.
- The incumbent plans, develops, executes, and evaluates any given HR program such as: classification, benefits, pay, worker’s compensation, recruitment, and/or staffing.
- Exercises significant responsibility in providing advice and counsel to management and leadership officials and with officials of other units or organizations. Exercises a high degree of customer service skill with contacts.
- Provides management with options and recommendations for effective program operations.
Job Requirements:

- The employee is responsible for ensuring their remote worksite provides an adequate work environment with regards to connectivity and technology, and for providing internet service and other general utility costs at their own expense.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Adequate connectivity includes having reliable telephone and internet service, including meeting any agency internet provider requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
