Job Description: Application Developer Consultant (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): works as a part of the broader regulatory technologies team that provides various enterprise wide initiatives such as AML-KYC, Contract Management Workflow and AML-Transaction Monitoring. The mandate of the enterprise-wide initiatives is to improve the global client lifecycle with specific focus on enhancing the customer experience, optimizing end-to-end processes, improving controls, and increasing transparency. Job Responsibilities: As a member of the implementation team, the candidate will introduce a streamlined client onboarding process that leverages ongoing Enterprise Data Governance and Management (EDGM) initiatives and creates rules-driven workflow with enhanced process controls to improve the client experience and to further State Street’s culture of operational risk excellence. The team will implement Unified Data Architecture, Big Data analytics, Datamodel design and Database development. Working closely with business users, developers, and testers to implement application to support State Street’s enterprise regulatory initiatives Designing, developing, and implementing a database model and design for applications in State Street Identifying and building core re-useable functionality, tools, and services such as micro services based architecture; building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets for large and complex data sources Leveraging hands-on experience with industry leading big data technologies such as Cloudera, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka to handle large volume data and secure storage and provide data analytics capability Working with message queuing, stream processing (Stream Sets) and highly scalable data stores; data modeling, Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, Shell and Python to effectively store, manage and automate processes Interacting with third-party vendors in solution implementation; working in a fast-paced agile environment and effectively collaborate across multiple internal project stakeholders as well as infrastructure support teams. Job Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field plus 2 years of experience in a deeply technical role within a financial services firm, or in a product development or professional services organization within a technology company that serves the financial service market. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field plus 5 years of experience in a deeply technical role within a financial services firm, or in a product development or professional services organization within a technology company that serves the financial service market.
