Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to support our Human Resources Leaders and business segment partners in the communication and execution of employment subjects. Will be responsible to assist in the resolution of associate relations concerns received from the Ethics Hotline and general employee relations phone line, while ensuring compliance with policy, procedure and applicable federal, state, and local laws. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides direct onsite human resources support to all levels of HR leadership. Act as a substitute and additional support for human resources in the field as necessary. Provide guidance and support to HR leaders concerning HR-related investigations and administratively review investigations to determine whether an investigation is complete. Serve as a resource to HR leaders related to ADA/reasonable accommodation requests. Provide direction to HR leaders on compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.
Assist with the response to questions and provide support on general human resources related practices, policies and procedures. This includes responding to questions and associate complaints received through the company’s Ethics Hotline, the general employee relations phone line, or otherwise via phone, e-mail or other correspondence. Will assist with the review and resolution of Code of Ethics and Conflict of Interest disclosures. Collaborate with HR business partners and field leaders in order to address associates concerns, execute tasks, and provide actionable feedback to improve the associate experience.
Assist with policy drafting, revision and review/approval process.
Provide monitoring on background, screening, sanctions, employment application, and certification related processes. Report trends and assist with solutions to address problematic trends and process improvement to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Provide direction, training and coaching to business partners on employment law matters as well as all aspects of applicant screening and background process and best practices.
Review background reports, past and current employment, drug and alcohol testing results, licensing and other professional background matters, ethics, and related materials for decisions surrounding hiring, promotion and continued employment.

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Law required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Human Resources or related field required.
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred
