Job Description:
As Account Manager you will be responsible for the administration and account management of key hotel accounts within the Qantas Hotels & Holidays business. Working primarily as a destination specialist working with a wide range of accommodation providers, the Account Manager aims to maximise relationships to deliver unparalleled value to partners and customers alike. The Account Manager will build and maintain relationships in order to meet the sales and growth targets of Qantas Hotels & Holidays undertaken by ongoing engagement. Key deliverables include obtaining hotelier buy in to key promotional and distribution strategies as well as managing to day operational requirements including procurement for tactical channels, performance reporting and identification of opportunities that assist in delivering growth for our hotelier partners and in turn contribute to the success of achieving Qantas Hotels & Holidays targets and overall strategy.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to build strong client relationships with a view to create value for customers and partners
- Proven success in procurement and negotiation
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Highly developed reporting skills with a focus on developing insights
- Minimum 5 years experience in travel and tourism, particularly both, OTA and wholesale distribution
- Be an active participant in a dynamic team, provide guidance and development.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field
- Well developed Account Management skills
- Experience across multiple geographies and working with different business models including functional knowledge across marketing, sales, distribution and customer facing businesses
- Ability to work autonomously is fundamental to the success of this role
