Job Description:
The Project Manager at McKesson will develop actions plans to address opportunity areas in the region’s Distribution Centers such as DPMO, customer, packing slip issues, process flows, and KPI’s. They will take ownership of the internal audit process, site security, compliance and fire safety programs within the region. This role is responsible to analyze quality control/ scale tolerances/etc issues and provide methodical approach to maximize the efficiency of DC Operations in these areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of lean/Six Sigma operating methodology. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Lean certification a plus.
- During DC visits RPM conducts process audits by department to ensure SOP’s are being followed. Completes Report during visit for ROM/RVP.
- Dissects LMS reporting and provide weekly feedback to ROM/RVP on performance to Standards, Observation platform compliance and program control.
- Previous Labor Management System/Workforce Management System experience
- Able to make decisions independently while taking into account the broader network and best practices
- Ability to transition into DCL role within 3-5 years
- Successfully develop relationships with DCLs in the Region
- Ensure best practices are being leveraged across the network by developing relationships with peer group and inspecting DC sites
- Knowledgeable on E1 (RF based warehouse management systems).
- Determining and leading project initiatives within Operations to deliver efficiencies and cost savings.
- Identify, plan and coordinate projects focused on improving labor productivity, quality, etc that support a lean distribution operation system.
- Taking initiative to resolve any DC issues proactively and with sense of urgency
Job Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills (warehouse/delivery professionals and customers)
- Must be willing to relocate within the region to a large DC
- Ability to influence indirect team of DCLs and DC Leadership Teams on various initiatives
- Bachelors degree (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Management or similar) and/or equivalent related business field or operations work experience required
- 3-5 years of operations warehouse experience (in people leadership level role)
- Have demonstrated success record in developing and leading cross-functional project teams that deliver cost savings.
