Job Description:
Our team is responsible for all contractual aspects of JPL’s business processes. We work with cross-disciplined and diverse teams to solve contracts challenges. We have a culture of continuous learning and strive to provide formal training as well as mentorship for our team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide contracts guidance in the development, coordination, and management of complex proposals/task plans. Collaborate across teams on all contractually-related matters and institutional positions associated with contract actions throughout the entire contract lifecycle.
- Provide contractual interpretation, guidance and direction to JPL personnel consistent with upper management and Office of General Counsel (OGC) directives/positions, as well as advise customers of contractual rights and obligations.
- Initiate and/or coordinate contract/funding related documents in accordance with contract specifications and JPL policy.
- Negotiate and process Interagency Personnel Agreements (IPA), Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and other contractual Agreements with Government agencies and/or Commercial organizations.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in personal computer applications and software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to implement the work required. Ability to learn local JPL software applications.
- Ability to work independently, take the initiative to bring assigned tasks to successful completion, and handle competing priorities to meet due dates.
- Ability to apply good judgment when making business decisions; and capable of communicating effectively with all levels of management and personnel.
- Diligent teammate with ability to multi-task and handle many assignments while delivering quality contract documents/guidance.
Qualification & Experience:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related subject area with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or a Master’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of one year of related experience.
