Job Description:
This position is being announced under FEMA’s Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program. This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Veterans Preference does not apply to the CORE selection process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Compiling, reconciling, and correlating a variety of logistics data and other pertinent information.
- Presenting clear, concise, and well-structured presentations that address the designated issues, including long-range projections and current operating conflicts, requiring persuasive discussion with responsible members or managers in meetings or working groups.
- Developing, interpreting, reviewing and implementing logistics management policies, standards, procedures, criteria and regulations with a focus on ensuring integration with federal policies, procedures, and goals.
- Identifying, analyzing, interpreting, and determining the impact of incomplete and changing information affecting logistics operations.
Job Requirements:
- Travel will be required.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
