Job Description:

As a Customer Service Agent, you will be central in demonstrating Delta’s commitment to our customers by making their travel experience as smooth and pleasant as possible. As a Seasonal Customer Service Agent, you play a key part in keeping our brand strong by demonstrating strict adherence to uniform compliance, maintaining professionalism, and exhibiting a positive attitude inside and outside of work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and guide and assist them with the ticketing and baggage check-in process.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Tag baggage and perform lifting tasks that involve transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts. Several other lifting tasks will involve handling items as low as floor level and as high as waist level.
  • Operate jet ways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
  • Use a computer to sell, print and reissue tickets.
  • Use computers to assist customers with seat availability, gate announcements with regard to the boarding process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, managing and initiating the boarding process.
  • Manage the check-in process, ensuring that customers have the proper documentation for travel.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority Be at least 18 years of agePass an extensive post offer pre-employment background check, including finger printing and a criminal history record check required by federal lawPass a post offer pre-employment drug testFrequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 poundsOccasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 poundsPass a physical abilitytest Be authorized to work in the USPossess entry-level computer skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidaysWhere permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
