Cigna Jobs – Sr UI Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate complete ownership of the front-end (JavaScript/React/ HTML/CSS)
• Take ownership to modernize legacy applications and reinventing them on our new tech stack
• Partner with members of our product and technology teams as you will bring their ideas to life
• Lead code review process, giving constructive feedback to peers
• Configured and used code splitting and bundlers like Webpack or Rollup
• Mentored junior developers, guiding them in best practices and problem solving
• Write and maintain code standards for HTML, CSS or JavaScript
• Lead open source projects
• Write testable code, using frameworks like Jest
• Develop, optimize, and maintain an enterprise grade React application

Job Requirements:

• Expert understanding of Git, not afraid to cherry pick or squash commits
• Experience building SPAs with vanilla JS or with libraries/frameworks like React Deep understanding of CSS, having built, modified, or maintained UI frameworks
• 7+ years of front-end web development experience with technologies like: React, JavaScript, Java, SpringBoot, Node.js
• Experience with No SQL databases, such as MongoDB
