Job Description:
Working with our strategic partners, internal product managers and portfolio groups both to ensure a deep architectural knowledge of area of specialism and to influence the development of capabilities to maximise customer interest. You’ll be on the pulse of the latest trends and developments in our industry, with an in-depth knowledge covering a wide array of specialist technologies, and you be able to present authoritatively with customers and internal stakeholders to share your knowledge and improve others learning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with senior customer contacts in our largest and most complex customers to understand their business goals, challenges and wider industry trends, and utilise this information to create actionable insight
- Creating winning solutions that exceed customer expectations, through the technical design, development and articulation of complex, multi-product solutions
- Working with finance and commercial teams to understand opportunity P&L in detail for the customer solutions being sold, ensuring margins on all deals are maximised and component pricing parameters are competitive
- Educating and influencing internal stakeholders to ensure customers benefit from the full portfolio of products, services and solutions that BT & EE offer, and that sales opportunities can be maximised.
- Managing, delivering and exceeding all sales targets. This will be based predominantly on growth opportunities within a defined base of the largest and most complex customers across the North & Midlands region
- Understanding and driving the migration from Traditional services to next generation technologies, including All-IP, Network Convergence and SD
Job Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills, including industry and market trends, customer trading and buying cycles, competitor positions and vendor analysis
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with strong influencing and negotiation skills, honed at a senior level
- In-depth technical knowledge and expertise across a diverse set of technologies, services and partners
- Ability to engage at a board level with customers to strategically position BT, its offering and competitive advantage
- Commercial acumen, including forecasting, pipeline management, P&L analysis and general sales awareness
- In-depth expertise on BT’s product and solution portfolio and the ability to transfer that into qualifies opportunities with customers
