Job Description: The Information Security Specialist is responsible the day-to-day operational information security activities that serve to protect BDC’s information assets and information systems. He or she gathers and analyzes information on BDC’s technology, making recommendations and resolving security issues as required. You’ll get the opportunity to develop, implement, communicate, monitor and maintain our cyber security program, including identifying critical systems and critical digital assets, addressing cyber security controls for each critical digital asset, and maintaining cyber security attack mitigation and incident response capability. As an Information Security Specialist, you will need broad breadth of security knowledge (not just a technologist), including Security Operations and Governance, Risk and Compliance. Job Responsibilities: Work with HR and/or team leads to educate employees on how to identify suspicious activity Work closely with IT operations and other teams to implement and continuously improve controls efficiency Perform Technology Risks Assessment and recommend solutions to eliminate or mitigate identified risks Coordinate intrusion tests with external suppliers and, in certain cases, perform intrusion tests to detect any weak points in BDC’s infrastructure and recommend solutions to eliminate or mitigate the risks identified Develop and draft processes and procedures related to periodic security testing and to tasks involving security operations Perform regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant Regularly verify and analyze all systems and application logs to identify suspicious activity and recommend solutions to eliminate or mitigate risks Work with IT operations to set up a shared disaster recovery/business continuity plan Job Requirements: Leadership, autonomy, vigilance, team spirit, ability to see the big picture, and discretion Ability to handle multiple requests and manage priorities Any of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CRISK GSEC, GPPA, GCIA, GCWN, GMON, GCDA, OSCP Ability to share information with peers and transfer knowledge Strong working knowledge of networking technologies Strong experience with Windows platform Sense of priority, understanding of issues, criticality and impact Open-source knowledge Minimum eight years’ experience in IT, five of which in network and/or security Ability to simplify complex issues Job Details: Company: BDC Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Montreal, Quebec, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacanciesforyou.net
