Job Description: The Social Media Advisor helps to strengthen, manage and develop brand awareness on social media platforms. As an advisor, he or she will participate in developing content for BDC’s social media platforms, assist in the marketing of various social media campaigns and initiatives taking into account community engagement and lead generation and creation of business opportunities. In addition, the advisor will apply his or her expertise to support employees by providing them with resources for their business development on social media. Job Responsibilities: Develop small to large scale tactics to promote BDC and partner events. Participate in event coverage. Oversee trainings for employees’ business development on social media and update the required material. Create briefs and collaborate on a regular basis with the creative services team to support various initiatives and to help build brand awareness. Monitor online conversations about BDC and communicate issues that may affect the brand’s reputation. Maintain the social media toolkit, the social media procedure, and the community guidelines on the Intranet. Act as a moderator by engaging in discussions with various online communities and responding to them on behalf of BDC. Lead the Employee Ambassador Program, from curation to copy writing and reporting. Implement social media recommendations to support various integrated marketing and communications initiatives for BDC and its lines of business. Build relationships with internal stakeholders across BDC and external partner organizations to provide them with advice and additional support on using social media. Engage in social listening and identify discussions and trends where BDC can provide entrepreneurs with added value. Job Requirements: Google Analytics Individual Qualification is an asset Excellent knowledge of a wide range of social media activities, such as community development and management and influencer outreach Excellent writing and editing skills for social media in both English and French Experience in an advertising or communications agency is an asset Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing or a related field Extensive knowledge of project management and ability to manage time and priorities effectively Experience in or knowledge of the financial sector, entrepreneurship and business-to-business (B2B) commerce is an asset Knowledge of social listening tools, such as Hootsuite and Google Alerts Minimum of five years of experience in online marketing or communications, including a minimum of five years of experience in managing social media platforms or communities Proven expertise in various areas of social media—organic and paid Job Details: Company: BDC Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Vaughan, Ontario, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacanciesforyou.net
