Job Description:

This is a leadership role with active element of individual contribution and requirement to provide guidance to a group of highly qualified individuals working with global Macro Trading desk. The candidate would be based out of Mumbai. As an individual contributor, the candidate will be working with the Global Rates trading team ( Voice as well as electronic). The global team makes markets in EUR & GBP swaps, inflation swaps, STIRT and Government & Inflation linked bonds. The role suits a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who has a strong background in mathematics or financial engineering with strong ability in team and stakeholder management. The role offers great exposure to interest rate, bond and derivative products such as Swaps & FRAs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Building client flow and market flow analytics
• Adhoc data analysis project that deliver actionable insights to the desk
• Conducting analysis for Trading desk related to capital efficiency, client impact , hit ratios etc
• Analysing and explaining Risks and P&L of the trading books
• Utilizing data analysis techniques to analyse various strategies and their Pnl impact
• Conducting analysis for Trading desk related to risk taking, turnover, market making efficiency etc.
• Managing a team of highly enthusiastic and qualified desk analysts and guiding them in trade idea generation, pricing, strategies & tool development

Job Requirements:

• Experience in managing team
• Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
• Good coding skills
• Relevant experience : 7 years + in financial industry
• In depth knowledge in interest rate pricing
• Experience in kdb/q+
• Good understanding of interest rate products and financial markets including but not limited to swaps & FRAs
• Experience in building scalable kdb based analytics
• Strong Statistical, Time series and Data Analysis Skills
• Experience in working in trading teams
