Job Description: Amazon is seeking Transportation Support Specialists to work in our facilities throughout the United States. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute over a billion shipments each year to our loyal customers. As a Transportation Support Specialist, you will train drivers on safe driving practices and ensure drivers are in compliance with Amazon training, safety and maintenance standards. Job Responsibilities: Work at locations within node on an as needed basis to support the business Partner with Operations Managers and Area Managers to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training related activities Educate and audit driver safety and compliance standards such as: driver vehicle inspection reports, hours of service, trip planning and safe road driving practices Support equipment standard work within a node, including inspecting equipment, creating repair requests, monitoring repair execution, ensuring on-time preventive maintenance, managing campaigns and recalls, and maintaining unit history (e.g., for washes, warranties, registrations) Create and communicate driver safety bulletins to local teams Provide timely and accurate reporting on the completion of trainings, compliance, safety, and maintenance duties Track performance and provide identified retraining and process improvement opportunities to further develop CDL and non-CDL driver training Create new training content to address gaps in driver skill, or mitigate safety and compliance risk Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience 2+ years CDL driver training experience Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA(R) rules, regulations, and record keeping 1+ years verifiable CDL driving experience in the last 10 years 6+ months of Peer Driver Trainer (PDT) experience Work different shifts and travel to support other sites, up to 50% Direct management/supervision experience of CDL drivers/employees High school or equivalent diploma Candidates must be able to travel to multiple sites within 250 miles of their home building and have reliable transportation.
