Job Description: The Director of Engineering will be responsible for leading multiple teams of engineers, this leader will foster a culture of curiosity, engineering excellence, and innovation. You will form a tight partnership with cross-functional teams to drive our product vision & roadmap and business strategy. To be successful you will need to be a technical leader with a passion for development and delivery of technology, with the required emphasis on architectural design and operational excellence. Job Responsibilities: Envision and develop the long-term scalable architectural direction. Partner with product management to set roadmaps, plan, develop and deliver the technology at an enterprise level of quality and a consumer level of engagement. Recruit, retain, and grow top engineering talent Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery. Create an engineering culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high quality products with predictability and reliability. Work across teams to deliver on Adobe’s business goals and create tight collaboration and coordination between matrixed teams. Drive the creation of processes and tools to support multiple platforms and product expansion at scale. Establish repeatable processes and methods that ensure a high level of productivity, quality, and reliability. Mentor leaders across the organization in leadership, management, and engineering standards. Job Requirements: Demonstrated experience in people leadership & management experience in Software Engineering using hosted/SaaS services. Demonstrated technical acuity in engineering, architecture, and product development. Consistent track record delivering strategic initiatives across multiple upstream and downstream dependencies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and team building skills. Strong Computer Science fundamentals 7+ years' leadership experience delivering large-scale SaaS platforms and distributed systems within a high growth, global, matrixed environment. Demonstrated success leading and developing a distributed, cross-functional, globally dispersed engineering organization.
