Job Description: The Representative II for Accounts Receivable is responsible for coordinating the daily posting of cash and remittance advice to customers’ accounts in the Assist and High Radius AR system. He or she is also responsible for balancing daily postings, while minimizing the amount of unapplied payments. Systems support and knowledge, accuracy, versatility, and ability to handle large volumes of various types of data input are key components of this position. The person should be adaptable to insure responsibility for daily departmental duties, as well as other duties as designated by the Supervisor of Accounts Receivable, or as may be designated to assist in the Credit Department. Job Responsibilities: Assist with month-end close and deadline as determined by supervisor Post cash received daily to the Assist and High Radius AR systems Strive to improve the cash application hit/match rates Audit and trace unapplied postings, to search for possible application opportunities Various duties otherwise requested to assist the credit department Research pre-application to maintain low levels of unapplied payments, with high level of accuracy Reconcile/resolve complex unmatched items as necessary Research, minimize, and correct AR entry errors Balance and resolve errors with incoming bank files Assist in training and/or cross-training as requested Post adjustments, chargebacks, refunds, and miscellaneous data entry as needed Job Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and interruptions Must be self-motivated, with ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment Basic to advanced knowledge and skills with Word, Excel Ability to manipulate and integrate data from various sources and on-line tools Demonstrated record of regular attendance and punctuality Knowledge of basic principles of accounting including debits and credits Ability to organize and prioritize assigned work to meet required deadlines Basic Understanding of Accounting & Compliance practices Strong knowledge of A/R systems and the impacts of cash application Qualification & Experience: High School Diploma or GED Basic Accounting Classes Job Details: Company: Staples Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Manchester, NH, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacanciesforyou.net
