Job Description:

Reporting to the SOPUS Wholesale Business Manager, the Operation Support Coordinator (OSC) is a pivotal role supporting the SOPUS Sales organization and the SOPUS wholesalers with the overall purpose to drive the delivery of the Retail strategy into the wholesale network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shell participation in industry conferences. Work with various internal and external stakeholders to execute events such as WPMA, M-PACT, and POC.
  • Focal point for Regional promotions and programs. Working with our wholesale network and internal stakeholders to ensure execution and adoption of developed operations programs and marketing CVPs. Leveraging broad datasets to analyze success and plot courses with our wholesalers for increased engagement and generated value.
  • Ensure coordination and consistency of operations and program implementation in Regions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Region Wholesale Council Meetings twice per year. This includes working closely with the SOPUS GM and Wholesale Counsel Chair to develop an effective agenda, coordinating head office Subject Matter Experts to deliver appropriate content, meeting format, and pre-read material, and with Shell Production Services to coordinate hotel and meeting location logistics.
  • Deals with very large wholesalers that operate with multiple channels or complex business models in different geography that spans across the US.
  • Regional subject matter expert regarding field sales tools and support. “Go-to” person for field inquiries.
  • Manage nominee process for Regional and National events. Work with sales team and Shell Production Services on events.
  • Region run and maintain of Mystery Motorist Program (MMP), including responsibility of reporting to field sales teams and educating TMs and Wholesalers on how to leverage the data. Subject Matter Expert on program execution and support. Manages approvals of wholesaler appeals, temporary inactive sites, and miscellaneous exceptions.
  • Regional focal point regarding operational excellence issues and process improvement. Communication link between field and head office teams.
  • Provide coordination and assurance administration of Sponsorship Budget.
  • Assist in coordination of Shell participation in industry associations and wholesaler events.
  • Coordinate Regional Sponsorships. Work with various internal and external partners including professional and collegiate sports teams, marketing and promotions vendors, Brand and Communications, and legal to negotiate, execute and maintain multi-year sponsorship deals.
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual Brand Meetings. Work closely with sales managers and head office subject matter experts to develop an effective agenda and appropriate delivery of annual Brand messaging to wholesalers.
  • Position requires self-motivation, relentless attention to detail, analysis and evaluative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Region run and maintain of Co-op program, including oversight of pre-approvals and exceptions. Supports efficient operation and coordination of National Co-Op and continued review of the program to ensure it is fit-for-purpose.
  • Assist in managing Regional Sponsorship budget.
  • Provide coordination and assurance administration of fund budget.
  • Managing communications along with the interaction process across many business units within Shell at all levels, as well as direct contact with the Regions, Wholesalers, and external companies and organizations.

  • Currently must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
  • Knowledgeable in development and implementation phases which requires leadership style, Legislative which is independent, yet inclusive of stakeholders impacted.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • Must have at least 5 years working experience in Sales and Marketing, managing B2B relationships, Sales support program and market implementation.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement tools procedures to enable field execution of initiatives.
  • Experience in other Channels, Supply & Distribution, and/or Logistics a plus.
