Job Description: The Sr. Appraisal Analyst - Credit Risk reviews, analyzes, evaluates or renders risk-based processing and reporting to reduce operating losses and maintain maximum protection of the organization's assets and services. S/he will supporting the second line of defense and recommends opportunities and proposes resolutions for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and risk minimization. Job Responsibilities: Evaluates risk management contingency plans and reports findings Analyzes trends in risk data and escalates developments according to company policy and procedures for risk escalations Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of existing controls and provides recommendations on opportunities for improvement Adjusts risk management policies, systems, and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness within the department Assists in processing risk assessments by analyzing risk data and identifying any plausible risks affecting the business and operations Assists senior level staff and management as requested Interprets and applies procedures, ensures analysis is documented and that records are maintained Operates as a point of contact for the department by responding to internal inquiries regarding policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and project status updates Informs employees on risk policies and guidelines to build a risk aware culture and practice across the organization Completes monthly QA appraisal review sample as part of the 2nd Line of Defense Job Requirements: Ability to change direction as project demand dictates Ability to analyze risk and provide recommendations and/or resolutions to minimize risk 3-5 years’ experience Certified Residential Appraisal Certification required Bachelor's Degree; Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field or equivalent work experience Ability to build and foster internal relationships Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (Fannie Mae FNMA, Freddie Mac FHLMC, FHA, OCC Guidelines) Prior experience with a lender or bank is preferred Ability to effectively and clearly communicate instructions to others, summarize and articulate issues, and document findings in a clear and concise manner Appraisal review of residential properties experience required Job Details: Company: Santander Bank Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Providence, RI, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacanciesforyou.net
