Job Description: The Travel Manager will be critical to the success of New Build and Continuous Improvement projects. They will act as the liaison between shoreside and shipboard teams. Provide the ship's staff and management with training and guest experience execution support, while maintaining brand standards as determined by shoreside management. In addition to reporting out on concept performance to Shoreside team and support the execution of updated strategies based on partnership with Product Strategy and Innovation. Position will report to the Travel Team Manager, from the shoreside Product Development team, in close partnership with the Hotel Director onboard and Hotel Ops shoreside. Job Responsibilities: Log all lessons learned, share with corresponding teams and ensure mission control records them. Support execution of concepts and guest experience including but not limited to owner supply tracking, developing training materials, installation, punch list items, stress tests, etc. Support operational partners, NB, and onboard teams while on and off board. Attend daily meetings on board to report back to shoreside. Maintain a high degree of ¿floor presence¿ to observe the new activity/experience initiatives. Submit Daily/Weekly photo progress report for PDT Executives. Support the official handover of venues to Operations. Perform audits to ensure steps of service and ideal guest experience is being delivered, while identifying areas of improvement pertaining to the guest journey, offering, operations, branding. Perform training for the required staff as needed. These include but are not limited to staff and management within multiple departments. Collaborate with Strategy & Analytics team to track against targets and support improvement. Must be flexible with traveling business needs to support installations. Ensure concept is executed and presented as intended. Consistently meeting with onboard management to share updates and gain feedback. Own reporting to fill in the gaps between shoreside and shipboard reporting. Job Requirements: Must know when to push and when to compromise. Excellent interpersonal skills, communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Resilient and thrive in an ambiguous environment. Must be available to travel and work on board at least 60% of contract time, including 4 consecutive months. Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Problem solver with a Growth Mindset. Leadership experience. Project Management experience is ideal. Strategic mindset. Training experience a plus. Cruise industry experience a plus. Ability to communicate tactfully with department heads, coworkers and other shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions. Should have some change management experience to be able to inform and train team members. Knowledge and Skills Detail oriented with analytical, financial and spreadsheet skills.
