Job Description:

At Regions, the Real Estate Market Intelligence Analyst enhances shareholder value by performing a thorough market analysis of the market and the bank’s real estate position within the market to minimize credit losses. The Real Estate Market Analysis Team will continually investigate and analyze data sources to properly assess the supply and demand drivers of assigned markets and potential real estate projects. This team works collaboratively with multiple real estate groups to provide analysis and recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains working relationships to obtain market insight with associates internally and professionals externally
• May analyze market data using GIS (Geographic Information System) tools and techniques to optimize the network
• Acts as a data scientist to investigate, utilize and collaborate with other Commercial Real Estate data sources
• May develop, maintain and automate requested market demographic reports, customer and competitor maps using GIS tools and techniques
• Assesses real estate projects’ collateral positions within their respective markets utilizing all available tools
• Demonstrates an understanding of methodologies used by data providers as the basis for differentiating between and applying data and forecasts
• Produces and interprets market analysis reports to support the underwriting assumptions recommended to the Real Estate Banking Relationship Team and Real Estate Credit
• May recommend market strategies using GIS analysis by providing maps, demographic reports and other supplemental data sets that supports findings

Job Requirements:

• Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts, features, and benefits of analyses
• Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) certification
• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate or GIS
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent time management
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Three (3) years previous experience in real estate industry analysis/research, underwriting or equivalent
• Ability and willingness to take initiative, assume accountability and drive results
• Progression towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
