Position is responsible for managing 6 non-exempt direct reports, Controlled Substance Analyst.  Responsibilities will include setting goals, monitoring Team success toward those goals, and managing the annual performance cycle.  1:1 Meetings and mentoring of individual Team members should be ongoing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the Management Team to provide leadership and coordination of inventory related activities for the Controlled Substance program. This includes monitoring various service level reports, system performance, and addressing areas of concern or escalated issues.
  • Ensuring that all controlled substance activities are being performed accurately and at the right cadence.
  • Responsible for training on best practices in E1, Pharma Connect, DEA/Pharma guidelines, Salesforce, DEA Form 222 Digital Asset Mgmt. system, and analytical tools used by Controlled Substance team. This may include assessing the needs of the larger group and working with the
  • Management Team to coordinate and deliver any needed training activity.
  • Communicates and reports statuses of business conditions for all areas of responsibility working with Materials Mgmt Leadership and reporting statuses up to ELT level.
  • Project Management – This position will also be responsible for varied projects throughout the year. Examples would include working with Pharma on operational changes, DEA and/or Regulatory process changes, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Support Primary Care Inventory Sales Support Managers by understanding their role to the point of handling escalated issues, provide guidance/feedback on key responsibilities, and collaborate on workflow enhancements for ISS.
  • Serve as key point of contact and SME for cross functional discussions between Regulatory, Pharma, Materials Mgmt., Supplier Mgmt., Data Mgmt., and Manufacturer for intersections that involve all things related to Controlled Substance items.

Job Requirements:

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel required and basic SQL preferred
  • Understanding of demand planning concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 6+ years Inventory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of inventory policies, practices, and systems as well as demonstrated leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple platforms/systems (AS400/E1/SAP) preferred
  • 2+ years Managerial experience
  • Experience with inventory management systems
