Job Description:

Mattel Inc. is looking for a Plumber / Maintenance Technician for their El Segundo Corporate Headquarters. The ideal candidate will assist with installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal. Maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in campus facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation
• Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates. Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.
• Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures.
• Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to accurately estimate jobs time, labor, & material for all types of projects.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Use of proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
• Knowledge of computers and software for emails, work orders, and other basic office software.
• Strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Strong time management skills.
