Job Description: Responsible for administration, maintenance and performance of vendor applications running on Linux platforms in support of internal corporate applications in a 24x7 enterprise environment. Individuals in this position work as part of a team with other Linux Server Administrators to review performance of existing systems and provide recommendations to improve overall systems performance, security and resiliency that meet service level objectives. Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours work as required by system implementations, outages or upgrades. Individuals in this position may work independently on assigned projects with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Security team to resolve findings from various audits Responsible for administration, implementation and upgrades of Linux (RHEL) Application Server environments Communicate with management on the status of projects Participate in the implementation of the infrastructure for a new solution following procedures listed in the Infrastructure Department Policies and Procedures manual as well as the Information Protection Policy manual Manage the promotion of code and configuration changes through development, UAT, and production Participate in the evaluation and implementation of projects involving existing and new technical solutions Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existing systems Monitor the capacity and performance of systems and make recommendations for improvements as necessary Job Requirements: A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements Experience with Confluence and Jira is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and multiple tasks while meeting agreed upon objectives Working knowledge and understanding of Agile principles Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience Experience with Linux based applications and Linux server administration Strong technical problem-solving skills Job Details: Company: First Bank Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: New York, NY, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacanciesforyou.net
