Job Description:
Leads a team providing stategic expertise for Engineering and Operations to support major strategic, cost control and process/productivity enhancement initiatives. Collaborates closely with Corporate Operations Support and Engineering function, ensuring alignment and collaboration on Field Operations initiatives and work products. Will be a functional authority, providing technical expertise andguidance along with development of programs and recommendations t to Executives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to: hiring, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, performance management and staff productivity.
- Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.
- Develops and manages the department budget; ensures compliance and addresses variances and other budget concerns.
- Manages a team partnering with both Field Engineering and Corporate Operations Support and Engineering function to ensure alignment and recommend innovative solutions
- Provides strategic input to Operations Engineering planning and execution activities, identifying cost control and process/productivity enhancement opportunities and development solutions
- Consults with and advises various Operations and Engineering stakeholders at all levels, developing innovative strategies and driving efforts across multiple facets of the operation
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership abilities
- Subject matter expert level industrial engineering planning
- Engineering software skills including cloud based applications
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information.
- Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
- Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.
Qualification & Experience:
- Ten (10) plus years’ combined experience in field industrial/design/project engineering and operations with at least three (3) years in logistics/operations management. Experience in collaboration of field and corporate engineering preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree with either an analytical focus such as Engineering, Math, Science or Business (Economics, Statistics, Financial Analysis or other analytical focus) or in Logistics or related area
