Job Description:

In this role, you will provide leadership and technical guidance for a team of experts that exist to drive competitiveness for Enbridge by developing the technical scope of work for liquid projects in a way that balances function, cost, safety, and operational reliability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop appropriate documentation outlining design parameters, assumptions and results such that project scope can be easily communicated to other relevant departments within Enbridge.
• Provide front-line leadership to a team of individual contributors.
• Manage team resource loading and outsource work to external engineering consultants to scale up capabilities.
• Collaborate with Project Development Leads, Project Execution Engineers, and other partners to develop optimized designs with consideration for capital vs. operating costs. Promote the strategic priority of “thinking like an owner”.
• Lead collaboration with key project partners to ensure that design details are addressed in a thorough manner, through a stakeholder review process.

Job Requirements:

• Strong emotional awareness and ability to influence others in technical and project decisions
• Proven ability to be innovative and be a change champion.
• Experience with leadership, coaching and mentorship to achieve technical proficiencies, focus and driving results through engagement and influence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in engineering design, operations and project management directly related to liquid hydrocarbon pipeline and facility hydraulics and design in the oil and gas industry.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and skills.
• Professional Engineering designation with experience authenticating and validating professional engineering work products.
