Job Description:

This position is in the Natural Gas Business Unit (NGBU) Damage Prevention group where the primary goal is to reduce excavation damages on natural gas facilities. The position is responsible for analyzing excavation damage data, meeting with excavation contractors to ensure that safe digging practices are utilized and coordination with locate and mark contractors. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence to oversee the development and implementation of damage prevention compliance programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, track, and analyze data systems for damage prevention. Perform risk based analysis.
  • Responding to disputes between contractors, locators and damage investigation vendor.
  • Develop and deliver Damage Prevention training to internal and external customers.
  • Includes coordination with call centers and local damage prevention committees.
  • Maintain and update all written program processes and coordinate the aggregation and storage of all compliance program related business records
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with operations personnel and/or contractors to implement compliance programs Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files
  • Field visits sites on a regular basis. Anticipating 40% office time and 60% field time.
  • Implementing and managing changes to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Ensuring work is being done safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the development and implementation of activities and related processes pertaining to compliance/integrity programs

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrates knowledge to applying the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures; demonstrates proficiency in technical competencies and has ability to interpret technical information and instructions.
  • Associates degree in Management or Engineering and two (2) or more years of related work experience
  • Supports the company’s goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
  • Basic Qualifications: Gas Integrity Risk Program Manager
  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in program related Scheduling / Cost Controls
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite software, data base operations, and Adobe products
  • Program related work/school experience; Demonstrated to Working Knowledge in program management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Collaborative Team Member
  • Bachelors’ degree in Management or Engineering and five (5) or more years of related work experience
