Job Description: The Program Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Job Responsibilities: Effectively collaborate with architecture, application development, requirements group, QA, testing and PMO teams Monitor status of critical system services reporting performance and server health Assist with analysis, evaluation and preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts Develop mutually beneficial working relationships with customers. Work with Audit/Compliance teams to install and maintain MS SQL security updates and patches Help manager to track global initiatives such as cloud migration, EOVS remediation, VTM patching. Willingness to work in a high-volume environment Review, improve and approve technical work, to guide others, and to teach. Manage trouble and request queues ensuring timely resolution Provide expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems Improve Problem Management and Stability within MS SQL environments Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Excellent knowledge of T-SQL language. 5+ years of experience supporting 24x7 Production environments. Production support experience for critical MS SQL database systems. MS SQL 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2019 internals and MS SQL cluster. Strong knowledge of Operating system platform and scripting/automation. Advanced knowledge of replication, AlwaysOn, db-mirroring, log-shipping, partitions and security for MS SQL servers.
