Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst for the Data & Analytics Team. The successful candidate will join the Data & Analytics team and partner with the stakeholders to develop data catalog, standards, business glossaries and procedures. The person will assist in developing data lineage models for business processes and data owner matrices and processes in the areas of data ingestion, data movement, data quality, master & reference data and data life cycle management. He/ she will be responsible for maintenance, support and enrichment of the data catalog and business glossaries to ensure correct sourcing, use and access to critical data.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage data governance issues and lead toward resolution.
• Manage the Enterprise Data Governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for developing information-based capabilities.
• Facilitate and assist in developing and implementing data standards (e.g. quality, protection, metadata, etc.) and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
• Understand and manage Enterprise Data Governance assets including business data dictionaries, glossaries and catalogs.
• Help implement new working process and new tools including vendor management, tool configuration, training and documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly aligned, defined, communicated, well understood, and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
• Partner with Information Technology and business unit groups to provide access to governed data for decision-making, processing and technology projects.

Job Requirements:

• Five years’ experience in data governance, data management or data operation role.
• Understanding of the data governance landscape, processes and design principles.
• Familiarity with the use of metadata management, data quality, data catalog.
• Proven oral and written communication skills Detail-oriented with ability to focus on managing multiple reports and processes.
• Five years of SQL experience in relational database.
• Cloud data analytics experience or exposure required.
• Reporting experience in Power BI or any other reporting tool preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required.
