Job Description: The Bank of Canada is currently seeking a Solution Architect to join the Cloud Services, Collaboration Tools team in the Information Technology Services Department. This team is responsible for the ongoing evolution and support of the Bank’s suite of digital end user Collaboration tools. You will participate in the evaluation and delivery of new Collaboration technologies at the Bank, with a key focus on enhancing Bank staff’s user experience, as well as assess feasibility and readiness for new technology deployments at the Bank. As the subject matter expert, you will also ensure that technologies continue to meet business needs, while maintaining an appropriate balance between functionality and security. Job Responsibilities: Analyze the current solutions environment and operational support models to identify opportunities for improvement Identify technical issues and risks and define potential mitigations Maintain up-to-date knowledge in Microsoft technologies including Office 365 Pay the role of the lead technical authority and responsible for planning all activities leading to the development, support and evolution of the Bank’s suite of digital collaboration tools, focused on Microsoft Office 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Stream, Delve, Viva, etc.) Ensure strong security controls and features through the implementation and support of various security technologies (Microsoft Defender for Office 365) Take personal accountability and responsibility for the delivery of new digital end user collaboration tools throughout the product life cycle, adding technical know-how, creativity and a seasoned perspective to initiatives and teams Architect and test solutions to work securely in the Bank’s technology ecosystem, while working closely with key stakeholders including Security, Legal, Privacy and Information Management. Job Requirements: Knowledge of leading vendor platforms, such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Experience with Microsoft Power Platform A minimum of five years of recent work experience directly related to implementing Office 365 Cloud Services (SaaS) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software or systems engineering or another related discipline Experience with Microsoft Exchange & SharePoint Online in Enterprise environments including design, implementation, escalation support and migrations Exposure to diverse work environments, with a broad understanding of multiple business sectors, hardware and software technologies and IT security Experience implementing Cloud services for Canadian government organizations to support sensitive data (i.e. Protected B data) Microsoft certifications (MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams, MS-500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration & MS-101: Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security) Job Details: Company: Bank of Canada Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Pembroke, Ontario, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacanciesforyou.net
