Job Description:

The Senior Trust Officer is responsible for primary management of assigned customer relationships, and oversight of relationships assigned to other Trust Advisors. The individual will assume primary responsibility for the administration, risk management and servicing of assigned fiduciary relationships, and coordinating designated bank resources to ensure prompt delivery of quality service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and comply with standard department practices of risk management, regulatory requirements, general trust policies and sufficiency of documentation.
• Interact with clients, bank partners, attorneys and COI’s to capitalize on opportunities for new business.
• Manage trust, estate and investment management relationships, maintaining our fiduciary responsibilities.
• Respond to client issues, anticipate client needs, and prepare for and lead client meetings.
• Respond to requests from beneficiaries for discretionary distributions.
• Oversee all work relative to terminating accounts and coordinate final distributions and closure of account.
• Oversee work performed by various Wealth Management operational groups to ensure the smooth operation of the trust and estate accounts, and investment management accounts.
• Review and interpret the governing instrument and applicable law in order to determine the duties and responsibilities of the bank and risks associated there within.
• Assume responsibility for the orderly and efficient administration of all assigned accounts maintaining policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Experience using Trust accounting and CRM
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
• Professional preferred i.e CPA, JD, MBA
• Completed formal Trust Training
• Management experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field required
• 10 years of Trust experience
• Intermediate computer proficiency
• Must have good management and operational skills
